This is a project I undertook during lockdown, exploring the atmosphere of public spaces in South East London. Shot within a 5km radius of my home, I was intrigued by the emptiness and sense of abandonment within my community. The variety of landscapes in the South East is something which really attracts me to this part of London. From brutalist council estates to royal parks & maritime buildings, all set against a backdrop of new high rise offices. The project aims to serve as a reminder to what these times were like in years to come and just how eery - and beautiful - these briefly unoccupied environments were.
